Pinto Mountain, April 2015

Amazing trip in Joshua Tree National Park, which was VERY warm and 100% off trail, class 2 scramble at roughly 13 miles round trip.

Consideration:

1. Lots and lots of water. I carried 9 liters for the overnight trip, and I drank every drop before getting back to the car.
2. HOT: It was pretty warm and sunny during the day, with almost no shade.
3. Quick trip: I wanted to go as light as possible with other gear, since it was only 1 night, and I was trying to compensate for the water I needed to carry. Overall, I was super happy with my choices!
